Ribbon Cutting - Franklin Elementary School

The Moline-Coal Valley School District will host a ribbon cutting ceremony for the reopening of Franklin Elementary School on Monday, August 20 at 4:30pm. The school is located at 5312 11^th Ave. C Moline, IL 61265.
 
Franklin Elementary School will reopen for the 2018-2019 school year after closing in September 2017 due to a fire. Some of the features of the renovated Franklin school include a new lobby with state-of-the-art security systems, LED lighting, open floor plan design, bright color scheme, open library concept, a flexible art-music room, adjustable seating and adjustable glass walls, and collaboration spaces designed to create a 21^st century learning environment. The school also received upgrades to the electrical and heating system, along with the addition of air conditioning, making it a climate-controlled building.
