Ribbon Cutting - Midwest Technical Institute

Midwest Technical Institute (MTI) will host a ribbon cutting to celebrate the expansion of their programming on Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at 11:00 AM.  The Moline campus is located at 3620 Avenue of the Cities.
 
Midwest Technical Institute is growing by expanding their programs to include Basic Nursing Assistant.  This 7-week program prepares students to take the certification exam that is necessary to become a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the State of Illinois.  The program is designed to prepare qualified individuals to be safe, caring and effective nursing assistants, who work under the supervision of qualified health care professionals.  CNAs are trained to perform in positions normally available in hospitals, nursing homes, and home health agencies.  This program presents basic nursing assistant principles as well as provides opportunities for practice and demonstration of skills related to patient care.  The student’s time will be divided between classroom instruction, laboratory, and supervised experience in the nursing home and/or hospital settings.
 
MTI was founded in 1995 in Lincoln, IL.  The Moline campus opened in 2011 and continues to grow.  The Moline campus has 45 employees locally, however, MTI as a whole (including corporate staff and staff at sister schools, Delta Technical College) has over 350 employees.
