RESPONSIBILITIES: Under general supervision, this position will perform duties related to the electronic health records system, such as ensuring compliance with College Student Immunization Act by reviewing, updating, and verifying health information with the integration of I-CARE (Illinois Comprehensive Automated Immunization Registry Exchange) and electronic health system and performing queries within electronic health records system for quality assurance and compliance purposes in relation to College Student Immunization Act. This position also will perform duties in the laboratory as well as perform patient care tasks.

APPOINTMENT: As soon as possible
HOURLY WAGE: $20.51 - $22.56 (anticipated starting wage $20.51)
This position is represented by AFSCME Local 417.

CREDENTIALS TO BE VERIFIED BY PLACEMENT OFFICER
1. Any one or combination totaling eighteen months (18 months) from the categories below:
A. coursework in a health-related field, as measured by the following conversion table or its proportional equivalent:
• 30 semester hours equals one (1) year (12 months)
• 60 semester hours or an Associate's degree equals eighteen months (18 months)
B. work experience in the preparation and/or maintenance of medical records in a health care facility or program.
For a degree to be considered, it must be conferred from a regionally accredited degree-granting institution of higher education (or equivalent from an international accrediting body). The degree must be conferred at the time of application.
