The Waste Commission of Scott County is an intergovernmental agency providing waste management and recycling services to businesses throughout the region. The Commission operates the Scott Area Landfill, Scott Area Recycling Center, Household Hazardous Materials Facilities, and Electronics Recovery Center.

We help businesses responsibly manage waste and recycle or dispose of specialized materials, including computers, hard drives, copiers, fluorescent light bulbs, and other hard-to-handle items. Our goal is to provide environmentally responsible, safe, and cost-effective solutions that meet the waste management needs of local businesses.

''We feel that the Quad City Chamber will help us reach out to local business owners and help build awareness of the programs and services we have available to them. We also hope to attend networking and training sessions or workshops the Chamber may offer.''
